Target is a national retailer that provides practically anything that you would need. What sets Target apart is it's simple and clean identity. Besides name-brand items, Target stocks in-house-branded items with different names for different departments. Their kitchen line, Home Essentials, is a quality product at an easily accessible price point.
Problem
For this project, the requirement was to create a full-page magazine advertisement and an aisle sign to draw awareness to the Home Essentials kitchen shears. This project must fit within Target's brand standards and use a professional photographer to take pictures of the assets.
Solution
I began this process by reading Target's brand standards, paying specific attention to the requirements for the advertisements I was to make. I then sketched out an initial idea for the images. Next, I got together with the photographer and staged the scene to highlight the sheers. Once the photos were approved, I designed the advertisements. I have included mockups to give context to the deliverables.
