Above: This video is a cinemagraph, which looks as though it is a still photo but contains subtle movement. The trick is to find the movement that the photo contains.
Above: This video is designed to showcase the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design while encouraging parents to encourage their potential student child to apply. MIAD has updated their branding by using Whyte Bold and Whyte Book as their primary fonts. They have also incorporated a shape that is referred to as a "path."
While adjusting the shape, I realized that it could be used in each frame to create a path for the words to follow. I felt like it had a Saul Bass feel to it. I really love this sort of odd way to form a dialogue-heavy video but make it interesting. This is definitely a video that requires a few watches, which is an intentional outcome that is designed to attract eyes to miad.edu.
Above: This is the video that I used to showcase some of the features of my senior thesis. It is a mobile application designed to assist people age 65 and older with navigating mental health services. It is called Embrace.
This video shows approximately a third of all the screens I created for the application. I used Figma to create it and wireframe every possible screen I would need, but the video would have been around 40 minutes or so. Basically, this design would be ready for an investor to snatch it up and pay me the big bucks.
Above: This little snippet of a video was an assignment in which we were tasked with incorporating our name in the title sequence of a film that we liked. It was supposed to be a simple Photoshop assignment that did not involve motion, but to have a static image of my name on a black screen did not seem like a lot of work, so I decided to recreate the sketchy motion of the names in the title sequence of the movie Se7en. I photoshopped out the original name and replaced it with mine.

Above: This mocked-up video was created for a brand identity refresh for the Milwaukee County Transit Authority. They currently use an emblem that has far too many images and words, which makes it feel confusing. Visual cues from the iconic Hoan Bridge were used for the color palette. A simplified and easily recognizable brand mark was created to provide a fresh approach to brand identity for the Milwaukee County Transit Authority.
This was my first time making a video with Premiere Pro and After Effects. I was happy that it turned out the way that it did. My professor was impressed with my motivation.
Above: This is a reimagining of the title sequence for A Clockwork Orange. The original title was the orange screen with white text. The only time that was broken was to interject a blue screen with white text. When contemplating this choice of sequence, I settled on the idea that the original designer chose that solid color theme because it helps to build tension.
In my interpretation, I wanted to pay homage to the orange background as well as the white text. I also wanted to add a bit of tension by incorporating some imagery that foreshadows fundamental scenes from the movie. This is also an homage to classic title sequences from the golden age of cinema. Additionally, I decided to withhold the title of the movie for quite some time, only showing part of it throughout the pace of the clip, which helps to create tension.
Above: This video is a short dedicated to Ian Curtis and Joy Division. I felt that the chaotic movements and jerkiness were inspired by Curtis' on-stage dance moves. This was a project that I created purely for fun.
